Happy Holidays

Whew!! What a busy weekend. We had an amazing christmas service at church on Sunday. The place was packed, the message of Jesus was clear, and people gave their lives to the Lord. We spent Christmas Eve with Kris's family. I think Izzy's favorite present was a doll Great Grandma gave her. We set it on the coffee table and Izzy looked at it and got the biggest smile on her face. She started talking to her doll and then picked it up and gave it a big kiss. We, the girls, were all crying. She was exhausted by afternoon and took a nap with Grandpa. That evening we traveled to my parents to spend Christmas with them. My sister Amber had just returned from Malaysia and hadn't seen Izzy in about five months. We slept in on Christmas morning and had a nice brunch. Then we opened presents and the chaos began. We had cookies, and fudge, and spinach dip, etc., and then a big pork and chicken dinner. So....we pretty much ate all day. And to top it off, Darla made this incredibly delicious and rich ice cream cake which just put us all over the edge. We crawled off to bed moaning and holding our stomachs. But it was a great day!!

On Christmas Eve, my friend Sarah gave birth to a beautiful baby boy. His name is Peter Loyd and he weighed in at 8 lbs. 15 oz., and 19in. long. He looks so much like Sarah. Congratulations!!
