Dakota, my sleeping prince

Dakota has such a rough life.  So much to do, so little time.  It wears him out, especially this time of the year.

MONDAY

He's so tired...

He can barely lift his head.

TUESDAY

He's making an effort to wake up.

I think this is as much as we're going to get.

WEDNESDAY

I'm just so tired Momma.

Dakota leads such a busy life dreaming about catching squirrels and snacking on tasty bunnies that he hasn't had time to watch his figure.  He went to the vet for a his grooming and checkup on Friday and weighs 60 lbs.  The vet said he's in the 'gray area'.  Dakota usually weighs 50 lbs. and gains around 5 lbs during the winter.  He weighed about 54 lbs. a few months ago.  You do the math.  It's been so cold outside that Dakota has no interest in going for a walk.  He runs around with the kids for maybe twenty minutes, then crashes again.  I understand Dakota.  They wear me out too.

We noticed about a week ago that Dakota had a bump on one of his ears.  It grew quite a bit over the next several days.  We mentioned it to the vet so they could take a look.  They're not exactly sure what it is but we need to keep a close eye on it.  They're concerned because of the location.  We don't want him to have to get his ear lobbed off if it got huge.  So if it gets too much bigger they're going to have to take it off.  We're really hoping it's just a bump and will go away.

MY SISTER IS HOME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!  EEEEEEEEEEEEKKKKKKKKKKKKKK!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
